The short version
I built Phone Speaker Cleaner as a free set of little audio tools (the speaker cleaner, a speaker test and a tone generator), and every one of them simply plays sound through your own speakers or headphones. By using them you’re agreeing to these terms of use. I’ve kept them as short as I could and in normal English, partly because nobody reads legalese and partly because there’s genuinely not much to say.
Keep the volume sensible
Please pick a level that’s comfortable for your ears and for the device, and if something starts rattling or the sound breaks up, stop. Earbuds and headphones should never be in or on your ears while a cleaning cycle is running, since a loud low tone that close to your eardrum is a genuinely bad idea. If liquid has actually got inside a phone or laptop, don’t use the tool on it at all; turn it off and do whatever the manufacturer recommends instead.
No guarantee
The tools and the guides come “as is”, as general information, and I can’t promise they’ll fix your particular problem. Sound is good at shifting water and loose dust out of a speaker grille, but how well that goes depends on the device and on what happened to it, and no tone in the world will repair a speaker that’s physically damaged. If your device maker’s own instructions ever disagree with something written here, go with theirs.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law lets me, I’m not responsible for damage to devices, lost data, or any other loss that comes from using these tools or guides. That said, nothing here takes away consumer rights that the law says can’t be excluded, wherever you happen to live.
Trademarks
Apple, iPhone, iPad, AirPods, MacBook, Samsung, Galaxy, Google, Pixel and the other product names you’ll see around the site belong to their owners, and this is an independent project that isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.

I wrote the words and designed and coded the site myself, so they belong to Phone Speaker Cleaner. Link to any page you like, I’d be chuffed, but please don’t copy whole pages or lift the tool’s code wholesale onto another website.

I might tweak these terms now and then, and the date at the top will always tell you which version you’re reading. If anything here is unclear, my email is on the contact page.
