If you’re writing about the tool itself, it saves a lot of back-and-forth if you mention which phone or laptop you’ve got (an iPhone 15 or a Galaxy A54, say), which mode you ran, whether that was Water Eject, Dust Sweep, Deep Clean or Custom, and what actually happened, including anything odd the speaker test showed.
Before you write
There’s a decent chance the answer’s already sitting in one of the device guides, so it’s worth a quick look at the iPhone, Samsung, Android, AirPods or laptop pages first.
I can’t fix hardware or diagnose a fault over email, sadly. If liquid got inside your device, or a speaker is still silent once everything’s dry, the manufacturer or a proper repair shop is the right place to go.
Corrections
If something on the site is wrong or out of date, tell me which page and what’s changed. I’ll check it against the manufacturer’s current guidance and fix the page if you’re right, and I’m always glad when someone points these out.
