About Phone Speaker Cleaner
A free, browser-based speaker cleaner and speaker test, with plain guides for the devices people actually own.
What this site is
PhoneSpeakerCleaner.org is a free web tool for clearing water and dust from phone, tablet, laptop and earbud speakers using sound, plus a speaker sound test and a tone generator. Everything runs in your browser. There’s no app to install, no account and no sign-up.
We built it because most speaker cleaner sites give you a single button and don’t say what it plays. Ours shows the exact frequency, draws the live waveform and lets you test the result straight after cleaning, so you can see whether it helped.
How the tool works
The tool generates its tones in your browser with the Web Audio API. Water Eject plays a 165 Hz tone that pulses once per second. Dust Sweep glides between 100 and 600 Hz. Deep Clean alternates the two, and Custom mode lets you choose any frequency from 20 to 1000 Hz. No audio is recorded, uploaded or stored. The only things saved are two small settings in your own browser: your light or dark theme choice and how many cleaning cycles you’ve run.
What it can and can’t do
Sound can push water and loose dust out of a speaker grille. It can’t dry the inside of a device, fix a torn speaker or repair corrosion. Our guides say so plainly and point to the manufacturer’s own advice from Apple, Samsung, Google, Microsoft and others, because their instructions should come first for your device.
How we write the guides
- Device facts such as water ratings, cleaning rules and drying times are taken from the manufacturer’s support pages and linked so you can check them.
- We don’t publish made-up statistics, reviews or “success rates”.
- When something is uncertain or depends on your model, we say so.
- Pages are updated when manufacturers change their guidance.
Who runs it
PhoneSpeakerCleaner.org is an independent site run by Junaid Khan. It isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by Apple, Samsung, Google or any other device maker. Product names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which devices a guide covers.
